Dr. Forrester is happy to announce
the addition of Dr. Christina Navarro to her practice!
Dr. Navarro brings a wealth of
information, experience, and expertise around the topics that are important to
parents raising young children. She
holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, and English, as well as a
Master’s degree in Training and Development.
Dr. Navarro’s Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Change provides
her with exceptional skills in parent coaching, training and advocacy.
Dr. Navarro has worked with children
in all age groups and adult professionals in both private and public sectors
over her 20 year career in education.
She has trained thousands of people around the world in principles of
learning, leadership, and change.
Dr. Navarro holds a special interest
in adoption and works as a facilitator of parent support groups for families
brought together by adoption.
Dr. Navarro works to help children
overcome challenges presented in the academic setting. She functions as a liaison between parents
and schools in order to establish legal accommodations for children with
special needs. Dr. Navarro assists parents
in navigating the often unfamiliar terrain of school systems to determine the
best fit for their child.
Since joining Dr. Forrester’s
practice, Dr. Navarro has been busy providing in-service training for
educators, leading parent education seminars, observing children in their
academic environment (on-site observation) and consulting with schools and
administrators on behalf of young children with special needs.
Dr. Navarro believes that every
child deserves the chance to be successful, and she strives to equip parents
with the education and tools they need to best advocate for their child.
