Diane Barghi, M.Ed., LPC


Diane Barghi, M.Ed., LPC is a licensed professional counselor who specializes in working with children and their families.  She enjoys helping children overcome difficulties and assisting parents and families through tough times. 

Diane understands that each child is unique and every family’s situation is different.  She is skilled at relating to both children and their caregivers in a way that makes them feel cared for and comfortable.

Diane graduated from Texas Christian University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.  She then went on to obtain her Masters of Education in Counseling from the University of Houston in 2007.  She completed her requirements and thus was granted her license in professional counseling in the Fall of 2010. 

Diane began working with Dr. Michelle Forrester as an intern in the Fall of 2006 and subsequently stayed on staff to earn her licensing hours from 2007 – 2010.  She also worked initially as an intern at Small Steps Nurturing Center and then facilitated a playgroup as a member of Dr. Forrester’s staff from 2006 – 2010.

Since obtaining her licensure, Diane has been practicing as an LPC within Dr. Forrester's practice.  She continues to work individually with young children and their parents, and also facilitates a number of Dr. Forrester's Social Skills groups.
