Jennifer Keltner, MEd, LPC-Intern
Jennifer Keltner was born and raised in Texas and is happy
to call Houston her home. She graduated
from Southwestern University (Georgetown, Texas) in December 2013 with a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. For graduate school, she returned
home to Houston to attend the University of Houston.
Jennifer began working with Dr. Forrester in January 2016 as a practicum
student while she was earning her Master of Education degree in counseling from
the University of Houston. She graduated in August 2016 and is
continuing her work with Dr. Forrester as a Licensed Professional Counselor
Intern under the direct supervision of Diane Barghi, LPC-S.
Jennifer’s passion for working with young children is
immediately evident when she interacts with them. Young children find themselves at ease with Jennifer
because she has a gentle and nurturing way about her. She enjoys working with
children to help them discover their own strengths and to find effective ways
to handle difficulties. Jennifer is
forever amazed by their creativity and imagination.
that early intervention offers life-long benefits. She enjoys working with the
team at Dr. Forrester’s office to offer individual therapy, dyad therapy, and group
therapy. Jennifer also works with children in their school environments,
offering support within the classroom and consultation with teachers about how
to help her client be successful.
Jennifer understands the importance of partnering with the
child’s family. She keeps an open line
of communication with parents and establishes a partnership to support the
child’s goals and progress.
Jennifer is currently accepting new patients. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor
