Rio O'Neill, MEd, LPC

​

Rio O'Neill grew up in the Houston area and has always lived in Texas.   She graduated from Texas A&M University in December 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. After graduation, Rio returned to Houston to attend graduate school at the University of Houston. While in graduate school, Rio worked as a nanny which allowed her to gain experience working with young children.

 

Rio began working with Dr. Forrester in January 2018 as a practicum student while she earned her Master of Education degree in Counseling from the University of Houston. She graduated in 2019 and has continued her work with Dr. Forrester as a Licensed Professional Counselor.

 

Working with children is a passion of Rio's.  She enjoys their unpredictable nature and believes in the progress that can be made with early intervention.  Rio finds it rewarding to see the progress that children can make in therapy.  Rio has experience working with children and their families in many areas including Anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, emotional/behavioral concerns, and sibling relationships.

 

In her spare time Rio enjoys renovating her house and spending time with friends and family.
